The Amiga RC5 Team Effort.

The Amiga RC5 team is taking part in a series of challenges, set by the RSA, to break the encryption algorithms used to encode data for security purposes. It's all above board and completely legal, and many hundreds of teams are taking part. Out of all these teams the Amiga team has always been within the top 10 fastest teams, most notably outperforming the Windows team considerably. The Amiga team now consists of many hundreds of Amiga users and if nothing else sends a message to the rest of the computer industry that the Amiga is still a force to be reckoned with.

Any Browser

The Any Browser campaign was started in response to the ever growing number of websites that are designed so that they only work on one particular make or version of a browser. This goes against the very spirit of the Internet, which is by nature a mulitplatform, multi-operating system entity. Forcing visitors to your site you use a particular brand of broswer is both narrow minded and frustrating for those who for one reason or another have no way of running that browser. Infact AmigaSoc feels so strongly about the open nature of the Internet that when Football365 launched their email based daily Football newspaper, we gave up some of our freetime to develop a freely available Amiga client. Previous to this Football365 had only been available via email to PC owners, even though the email only contained a simple zip archive.

Operating System Suck Rules o meter

And now for a bit of fun. We all know that the Amiga is by far the best computer available, thanks to both the great hardware and operating system. And lets face it everyone knows Windows sucks! The Operating-System-Sucks-Rules-O-Meter searches the Internet for references to various Operating Systems to build up a graph of which OS's suck and which rule. If you want to show your support for the Amiga all you need to do is place the phrase AmigaOS rocks, or AmigaOS rules somewhere on your web page. And don't forget to visit the page regularly to see just how crap Windoze really is!
